I added in weather and spotlights on points of interest. This actually makes night a better time to look for things, but I find that kind of balances the open exploration during daytime.
I might actually take a stab at making a web player version – the game it pretty heavy as it stands, but some optimization might make it run reasonably well in a browser. It technically works as-is, but hangs a bit when loading a new level, and there’s a lot of other things I could do to optimize.
As far as features, there’s any number of places to expand – from more terrain types to more sophisticated buildings to more complicated agent behavior, but I have many places to build from. I’m taking a little breather and looking at what other people are doing at #procjam.
